“Clearly, The thing that’s transforming is not the Technology — It’s the technology that is transforming you.” — Jeanne W. Ross

The healthcare industry is flourishing expeditiously. We believe that no other area in healthcare has as much potential for enhancing effectiveness and elevating medical standards and quality, as digitalization does. The “Digital Era” has engulfed every facet of life for better or worse per se! We all are well aware of technology’s capabilities to transform the world we live in. At Apric, we blend creativity with technology to deliver fast, flexible and futuristic solutions and have first-hand experiences with regards to how technology has the potential to elevate the efficiency of Industries. In fact, we recently achieved massive success in working with a healthcare company by digitizing and transforming their campaigns. Well, Digitalization is no longer an option, it has become an indispensable part of any brand’s growth regardless of the area of expertise. Let us talk about the benefits of Digitalization in the Healthcare sector :

  1. Online Database of Patients

We can still recall how difficult and tedious it used to be when we used to pile up files and present them to the doctor. Let’s be real, it wasted a lot of time for both the parties involved. What digitalization does in this is that it preserves the medical history of patients and makes it very accessible to doctors. It also allows the patient to download and document it as per his liking so he can go back and reflect on it as and when he likes. This is an excellent tool, especially in emergencies. I remember my Uncle met with an unfortunate accident and had to be rushed to the hospital. Doctors quickly investigated his information and alerted the team to not use a certain type of medication that he was allergic to, Thank the lord for digitalization! It is convenient, efficient, and quick!

2. Monitor Health Metrics

We are surrounded by many types of innovative digital products, a few of them being smartwatches, smart rings, health monitoring patches, health applications, etc. These devices/ applications more or less have the same motive — To monitor your health. A lot of people connect their devices to alert their doctors on emergencies. Example: If the heart rate goes alarmingly high, the device not only alerts you but alerts your doctors as well so you can control it in an efficient manner. This is all possible through digitalization.

3. Task Automation

The best thing about digitalization is probably the automation aspect. AI is an extremely useful tool when it comes to things like prescription assistance or appointment reminders. Doing so, a lot of weight is lifted off the shoulders of the clinical staff and the productivity will elevate by focussing on what matters the most — treating patients.

4. Collaborative Research

If someone is diagnosed with a rare disease or has an abnormal symptom that may seem alien to the doctor, he can use digitalization to familiarize himself with patterns to give out the best possible treatment to the patient. This also helps the community of healthcare professionals to join hands in order to help each other identify symptoms and foster treatments. It gives room to the medical community to unify as a whole in the time of need by delivering fruitful results.

Well if we look at the bigger picture, The healthcare industry has become really fast-paced and supple, and the credit for that goes to digitalization which indeed has forged growth and development. It is speculated that digitalization will contribute to the massive growth in the years to come and high-tech digital solutions will offer a crucial role for the same.
