They revolutionize the way things are perceived, from technological advancements to nurturing families, Women are the real protagonists in life! Design and Technology are two vital elements for growth and development. If you really think about it, all products or services we encounter have had a designer involved in every step of the way, from conceptualizing to bringing the product/service to life! Women are rightfully stepping into roles of power and authority, reigning supreme in a variety of fields. Women actually make up over half the design industry in fact women have always been the backbone of design. Lella Vignelli was not just Massimo’s wife, she had a massive role in elevating the business to its highest potential! We at Apric cannot emphasize enough the role of women in the design and technological front, in fact, if you see the kind of design work our female employees partake in, you will be flabbergasted! We have highlighted the contributions of 4 women to pay homage to their contribution to the world of Design.

  1. Paula Scher

Paula Scher is one of the most influential graphic designers in the world. Scher’s contribution to the world of design is immense. She is known all over the world for her dynamic use of archaic design to portray Art Deco and Russian constructivism. She has also worked with many prestigious brands and has received laurels for the same.

2. Es Devlin

Es Devlin is a world-renowned artist and stage designer. She is known for creating large-scale performative sculptors and sets that integrate music, language, and art! She designed the London Olympic Games, Opening Ceremony of the 2016 Rio Olympics, and is also designing the UK pavilion at Expo 2021 Dubai. If you have seen the Netflix Documentary “Abstract: The Art Of Design”, you probably are familiar with Es Devlin’s work.

3. Rachel Inman

Rachel Inman is the Design Lead at Google. You must know that she also worked on the newest Google Earth. She brings human-centered design expertise, deep cross-functional collaborations, and inspired vision to an array of complex problem spaces. She is truly an inspiration to all the women out there!

4. Neri Oxman

Neri Oxman is an American- Israeli Designer. Chances are you already know who she is: She is well-loved by millions due to her unique approach to design. Her designs are way ahead of time and you can prepare yourself to be surprised with every new artwork she launches. Her specialty is blending technology and biology, her ultimate goal being to augment the relationship between built and biological elements. She is also very sustainable in her approach; she sure keeps the environmental impact of her work in mind.
